The Residence Mauritius offers 135 rooms, from 54 to 58 m2 and 28 suites, from 86 to 164 m2 decorated with an inspired blend of sobriety and elegance.

Reliving the magnificence and splendour of yesteryear’s palaces, a butler is assigned to each suite and room and will unpack and pack the luggage, run a bath, take care of the laundry and provide ironing service.

The Colonial Garden View Rooms have beautiful views over the luxurious tropical gardens with a king size or twin beds.

The Colonial Ocean View Rooms allow a partial view of the sea over the exotic gardens with a king size or twin beds.

Our Colonial Ocean Front Rooms are directly facing the ocean, offering a magnificent view over the turquoise lagoon with a king size or twin beds.

The Colonial Garden View Junior Suites are a one bedroom suite with king size bed or twin beds. The living area has an LCD TV with 5 in-house movie channels, DVD and CD player. The terrace is equipped with wooden table and chairs. A computer with free internet access is available on request. There is a living room which can take two extra beds or one and a cot but this is not shut off by a door just a small curtain. If you want separate sleeping space these suites can interconnect with either Garden View or Ocean View Rooms.

The Colonial Garden View Senior Suites have king size bed or twin beds. The living room has an LCD TV with 5 in-house movie channels (one in the bedroom and one in the living room), DVD and CD player and direct dial telephone with voice mail system. A computer with free internet access is available on request. The terrace is equipped with elegant wooden chairs, table and sun beds. This room does have a separate living room which you could put one or two put up beds of cots in.

The 2 Colonial Ocean View Suites have four poster beds, spacious bathroom and vast wardrobe. The vast living room has a computer with free internet access, LCD TV with 5 in-house movie channels (one in the bedroom and one in the living room), DVD and CD player. Large ocean view terrace is furnished with elegant wooden chairs, table and sun beds. These rooms will easily again take two children in the lounge but if you want to relax in the lounge once your little ones have gone to bed then these suites inter - connect with Ocean View Rooms.

The Colonial Ocean Front Suites have a four poster bed and spacious bathroom and vast wardrobe. The separate living room has a computer with free internet access, LCD TV with 5 in-house movie channels (one in the bedroom and one in the living room), DVD and CD player. A second bathroom features an additional toilet, sink and shower cabin. The large ocean front terrace boasts breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and is elegantly furnished with wooden chairs, table and sun beds. Again room in here for two children but if you want more space 4 of these suites interconnect with Ocean Front Rooms.

Food

The hotel prides itself on its cuisine, where native produce of the island is blended with a diversity of fine recipes from around the world.

The Dining Room is positioned overlooking the pool. The atmosphere of the restaurant and cuisine changes to an à la carte menu in the evening. The heady spices of Mauritius are combined with international recipes.

The Verdant is an excellent place for lunch. The lunch menu features a choice of exciting light dishes served around the pool overlooking the sea. An impressive selection of toasted sandwiches, oven cooked pizzas, generous salads and homemade ice creams.

The Plantation has a spectacular oceanfront setting with a menu offering the freshest seafood and Creole cuisine. At night, live Sega dancing performances and original local entertainment are provided several times a week. The restaurant is a planter's house by the beach.

The Gourmet Kiosque is located close to the swimming pool and serves delicious sweet snacks such as waffles, pancakes and an assortment of ice creams.

The Bar is the ideal place to enjoy a late breakfast, traditional tea in the afternoon or an evening cocktail. Live musical entertainment is provided until midnight.

This hotel really believes in service. If you want to have breakfast on your terrace the simply ask your butler and it will be organised inclusive of your holiday.
