Jumby Bay offers guests the ultimate amenity in childcare - a personal nanny service. The service provides adult guests the freedom to enjoy activities such as massage, yoga, tennis or a dinner for two while comfortably assured that their children are under the experienced care of one of the resort's nannies. To meet your family's requirements, 24-hour notice is recommended. Rates are approximately per hour for up to two related children for a minimum of three hours. Daily and weekly rates are available upon request.

The resort is home to the ongoing Hawksbill Turtle Program (2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the program), a privately-funded research project sponsored by island residents and under direction of the University of Georgia. Each year, Hawksbills return to nest on the resort's Pasture Bay Beach, a protected nesting area that has been drawing the now-endangered sea turtles since the age of the dinosaurs. It's a one-of-a-kind opportunity, especially for kids, on island who can sign up for "turtle watch" from June through November to play an active role in the program, the longest running scientific study of its kind.

THE ESTATE HOUSE The Estate House is a stylish Colonial Plantation House on the western edge of the island. Set overlooking the sea and the lights of Antigua and surrounded by a fragrant garden of palm trees, hibiscus and wild orchids. The menu of The Estate House features selections of short courses and entrees with bold flavors. Among the menu's many highlights: Roasted Butternut Ravioli with Truffle Butter, Sauteed Shrimp with Local Farm Fresh Vegetables in Citrus sauce, Grilled Sea Bass and Mediterranean Salsa and Seafood Risotto with Asparagus. The Estate House Bar and Restaurant are open Monday-Saturday.
THE VERANDAH More than a restaurant and bar, The Verandah set next to the sparkling sea, the open-air restaurant welcomes diners amid cool sea breezes. Stylish without being pretentious, the sun-filled setting is splendid for breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily in light and modern style. In the afternoon and evening, toes-in-the-sand elegance reigns as guests indulge in freshly caught seafood, hearth-baked specialties, grilled lobsters, select prime and aged steaks. THE POOL GRILLE For those who can't bear to leave the water's edge, The Pool Grille and Bar is a perfect time-out for daytime dining. During the sun's peak, sunbathers can choose to dine under the shaded canopy or order a lunchtime repast and cocktail from their lounger. Out in the open air, The Pool Grille offers fresh light snacks, lunch, cooling treats and an array of refreshing cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, fruit juices and teas.
THE BEACH BAR A traditional open bungalow located midway down the shoreline on Jumby Bay Beach, The Beach Bar is the centre of beach service. Here guests find cocktails, cold water and fresh towels at the ready.
DINING EXTRAS Cooking classes, picnic hampers, romantic torch-lit beach dinners, in-suite service and children's menus are also offered.
TENNIS The Jumby Bay Tennis Club offers three courts, two of which are lighted for evening play. Courtside amenities include complimentary iced water, sports beverages and towels. There are complimentary racquets & balls, a ball machine, tennis lessons & pro on staff.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Visit an archaeological site of floor flints dating back 7000 years.
Visit the Bat Cave - home to hundreds of bats hanging from the ceiling. Local legend says that the cavern actually goes under the sea as far as Guadeloupe.
Join in the fun at casino night in St. John's. Located on English Harbor near the shopping village.
Visit English Harbor - once used as a base for the British Nave, English Harbor is home to Antigua's historic district. Features on the Harbor include Nelson's Dockyard National Park and many shops and restaurants.
Boat over to Great Bird Island this tiny uninhabited islet and see the nesting grounds of the red-billed tropic bird. From April to September the laughing gulls, purple martins, terns, and brown noodles grace the island.
There are numerous hiking trails in Antigua including: Wailing's Woodland, Old Road, Falmouth and Rendezvous Bay. Jumby Bay has over four miles of hiking and walking trails.
Visit Nelson's Dockyard National Park. Just 11 miles outside of St. John's lies one of the biggest attractions in the eastern Caribbean, Nelson's Dockyard. This beautifully restored Georgian naval dockyard was home to the British Fleet during the Napoleonic Wars.
Visit the colorful shops and local vendors in St. John's. Browse for some of Antigua's wonderful native products such as pottery, carvings or Antigua's rum. Visit duty-free Heritage Quay or Redcliffe Quay for clothing, jewelry, local arts and crafts, Cuban cigars and other luxury items.
Jumby Bay provides transfers between the mainland airport and the resort. Upon arrival, a chauffeured private town car will take guests on a three-minute drive to the resort's dock after which guests needn't lift a finger at this luxury child friendly resort. Their baggage will be waiting for them in their guest room, suite, villa or estate home and two experienced crew members will assist guests onto the resort's private catamaran for a seven-minute ride over to Jumby Bay through clear Caribbean waters.
