An enchanting garden island where the whole family are welcomed like family. Kuda Huraa boasts snorkelling reefs and a palm-lined lagoon along with an enchanting blend of Maldivian culture, top notch service and picture perfect scenery making this a fabulous, luxury family holiday destination.


For Kids

  • The hotel, like all Four Seasons Resorts go out of our way to make the little ones feel welcome.
  • Babysitting services can be arranged with 24 hours’ notice. Please note that there is an hourly fee for this service and a maximum of two children per babysitter.
  • There is a Playstation 2, board games and children’s movies for the kids to use whilst you are there.
  • For 4 to 12 years old, there is the Kuda Mas ("small fish") Club. This has an action-packed programme featuring a variety of beach and outdoor activities, creative crafts and games. Aged three or under are welcome when accompanied by an adult guardian. Childcare services are available for a fee. Some ideas of what the kids might get up to…island exploration, island gardening, sand castle building and beach games or cooking classes and mini-spa days.
  • There is a children's pool, adjacent to the main pool.
  • There will be a welcome amenity for all little ones and a goody bag on arrival.
  • Complimentary baby and children's toiletries including nappies, baby wipes, bottle warmers and sterilizer, shampoo and bathing amenities can all be provided for babies.
  • There are children's menus in the restaurants and In-Room Dining. The infants' menu (for children age three or under who have been introduced to solid food) is offered free of charge.
  • There are even (provided you provide the hotel your children’s names) personalised and laminated infant menus and a take home baby bib.
  • Upon request, and subject to availability your room can be childproofed, you can have a cot with ocean-themed linen, at no extra charge and subject to maximum occupancy.
  • If you are travelling with a baby just ask and a changing may and pushchair can be placed in your room for your arrival.
  • The Kuda Spa have island-inspired treatments designed specifically for young bodies and minds including the one my kids would go mad for the SODASHI FABULOUS FINGERS essentially a mini manicure and they’ll even add glitter and nail art for maximum beach chic.

For Adults

  • Indulge at the Spa, a haven of tranquillity and set on its own island just a minute’s sail by dhoni (traditional Maldivian boat, where as you would expect in the Maldives there is an array of treatments available.
  • If you didn’t have time before you went there is a hair and beauty salon offering all different kinds of beauty and hair treatments.
  • For something really special try the Island Spa's Night Spa treatments. Very different from treatments you might experience during the day.
  • If you want to watch you weight even on holiday healthy-eating recommendations are printed on all other restaurant menus.
  • Fancy an evening in your bungalow, or outside terrace then the In-Bungalow Dining is a fine-dining experience in itself.
  • With an infinity edge that seems to merge with the blue horizon, our freshwater swimming pool is one of the largest in the Maldives. Surrounded by a large sun deck, it features chaises longues for comfortable lounging. Attendants are ready to provide a fresh towel or a cooling spritz of mist. Pool service and a swim-up bar provide refreshments.
  • Cold towels, fresh fruit platter and iced tea upon arrival.
  • Work off the fabulous food at the Gym, with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment.
  • Get your zen back with morning and evening yoga sessions at the Yoga Pavilion.

There are 96 thatched-roof Pavilions , Beach Bungalows and Suites . All are constructed by local craftsmen using indigenous materials and techniques that date back centuries to reflect a true sense of the Maldives.

Raised on stilts above the turquoise lagoon, Sunset Water Bungalows offer an atmosphere of soothing seclusion. Step down from your spacious sun deck into the crystal lagoon or relax on the sea-level platform with outdoor swim shower. These sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child. Please note it is not recommended children under 8 share these Water Bungalows for safety reasons.

The Sunrise Water Bungalows have the same amenities as the Sunset Bungalows but the view is of the sunrise!

The Sunrise Water Bungalow with Pool are raised on stilts above the gorgeous turquoise lagoon and feature a private pool. Walk down from your spacious sundeck and choose from your own private pool or the natural swimming pool and sea-level platform with outdoor swim shower. These sleep 2 adults and 2 children. Please note it is not recommended children under 8 share these Water Bungalows for safety reasons. 

The Sunset Beach Bungalow with Pooloffers direct access to the pristine white-sand beach, tropical foliage and mature palms create a private garden setting. Relax to the sound of waves on your sheltered deck, with its plunge pool, sun loungers and dining table for two. These sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child notes.

The Sunrise Beach Bungalow with Pool have an infinity-edge plunge pool and a shaded bale (traditional thatched hut). Relax to the sound of waves on your sheltered deck, with its plunge pool, sun loungers and dining table for two. These also sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. 

The Sunset Family Beach Bungalow with Pool feature a deck with an infinity-edge plunge pool and a shaded bale (traditional thatched hut), as well as an adjoining study with a sofabed – making them ideal for families with small children travelling to the Maldives. Kids and adults can sleep and play in the study, which offers a sofabed, desk and TV. Relax to the sound of waves on your sheltered deck, with its plunge pool, sun loungers and dining table for two. These bungalows sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults and 3 children.

The Sunrise Family Beach Bungalow with Pool is the same as above but with a different view!

Beach Pavillion with Pool is just steps from the ocean. Choose between your sparkling plunge pool and the white-sand beach just steps away. These Beach Pavilions sleep 2 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child. 

From private sundecks to al fresco dining rooms, the sprawling suites are the most luxurious way to experience the Maldives.

The Two-Bedroom Royal Beach Villais a secluded oasis with its own stretch of beach and provides gracious beachside living for families and guests requiring extra space. Surround yourself in indigenous foliage on your private sundeck, with a plunge pool, shaded daybed and undholi (traditional Maldivian swing). These sleep 4 adults, or 4 adults and 2 children notes.

Sunset Two-Bedroom Water Suite relax to the sound of waves on your private deck, furnished with chaises longues and a table for outdoor dining. These Suites sleep 4 adults, or 4 adults and 2 children. 

The Sunrise Two-Bedroom Water Suite are the same but with a different view!

Sunset One-Bedroom Water Suitesseem to float above the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Choose between two decks with sun loungers and steps leading down to the lagoon, as well as a private platform and an outdoor swim shower. These sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child. Please note the minimum age recommendation.

Water Bungalows are not recommended for children under eight years of age.

Sample traditional Indian specialties on the spectacular deck above the waters or in our private dining gazebo. The menu focuses on fine Indian cuisine and delivers a diverse selection of fresh local seafood, rice biriyanis (a flavourful Indian specialty served in a clay pot) and traditional Indian specialties.
A children's menu is available or the chefs can prepare children's portions of any dish as requested.

Savour classic Italian cuisine on the deck, under a thatched pavilion, or at tables in the sand.

This is an open-sided Maldivian-style thatched-roof pavilion facing the free-form swimming pool and lagoon, Café Huraa offers indoor and outdoor dining in an exotic tropical setting.
Dinner at Café Huraa is a fun experience. Every evening, guests can enjoy both Western and Asian fare featuring a taste of traditional curries, wok-prepared noodles and fresh vegetables, as well as a selection of mouth-watering seafoods. 
A children’s menu is also available.

Kandu Grill is the ideal place to savour grilled seafood and succulent meat. Relax outdoors and select a freshly caught fish or lobster from the island dhoni, then watch Four Seasons chefs grill it to perfection. All dinners are accompanied by an extensive selection of sauces and side dishes.

Run by professionals from Tropicsurf of Noosa, Australia. Learn in the pristine lagoon with courses for guests aged six and older, or let loose on six uncrowded quality breaks within a stone’s throw. The best waves occur all year round for beginners and from April to October for experienced surfers.

Opened September 2011, the Marine Discovery Centre (MDC) is an interactive research and education centre that introduces guests and local school children alike to the role we can each play in conserving the local and global marine ecosystem.

Known internationally as one of the world's best scuba diving destinations, the Maldives has an abundance of dive sites with one thrilling dive opportunity after another. The waters surrounding Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa and the Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, home to Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, have consistently warm waters with outstanding visibility

Complimentary snorkels, masks, fins and non-motorised water-sports equipment – such as sailboats, kayaks, catamarans and state-of-the-art windsurfing gear – are available.

Learn snorkelling techniques and how to use snorkelling equipment, all in the safe environment of the Resort's lagoon. 


Take a short speedboat ride to a nearby island for a thrilling two-hour guided snorkelling encounter with shoals of blacktip reef sharks and whitetip reef sharks. A friendly tip from us – do not feed the sharks. Snorkelling experience is required.


Discover the beauty of the island's underwater marine life just steps from the Resort's shoreline in this one-hour guided excursion, available every morning. Snorkelling experience is required.


Cruise by dhoni to a nearby coral reef and explore the underwater world with one of our marine experts. On the way back, enjoy tea and snacks at sea while engaging in a fish talk with our marine expert. The excursion takes about an hour and a half. Snorkelling experience is required.


A fishing rod and some bait are all you need to participate in the sunset fishing experience. Catch one if you can, and our chefs will be delighted to prepare it to your liking. The excursion takes about two hours by dhoni.

Reel in a big tuna, sailfish or mahi mahi from the 16.7-metre (55-foot) High Flyer, a sport fishing boat designed especially for big-game fishing on the high seas. Unmatched by any other boat in the area, the luxuriously furnished High Flyer features an 81-centimetre (32-inch) flat-screen television, surround-sound MP3 music system and other advanced amenities. Set lunches are served on-board. Guests may choose a full-day (eight-hour), or half-day (four-hour) charter package


Imagine spending a day on a deserted, palm-fringed tropical island with family or friends. From Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, take a seaplane to a small, postcard-perfect island surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and a shallow, sandy lagoon. As our staff prepares a barbecue, you may snorkel, relax or stroll around the island in total privacy. At the end of the day, the seaplane will fly you back to Kuda Huraa in time for your evening meal.


This cooking class will take you on a short journey through the rich culinary heritage of India and the Maldives. It’s fun and casual, and lunch is included.

From 457 metres (1,500 feet) in the air, you will have a whole new perspective on the Maldives. Savour the views of miles and miles of islands, lagoons and calm azure waters during this 20-minute flight, and take advantage of limitless photo opportunities. Seaplanes may be chartered privately.

A private cruiser takes you across the atoll for a picnic on a small island or a sliver of sand, lost in an azure sea – the perfect setting for a romantic celebration or a family day out. Snorkel amongst brilliantly coloured corals, go fishing or simply relax in the shade of your tent.

Hundreds of dolphins live in the waters near Kuda Huraa. Join one of our marine biologists for a short briefing on this fascinating marine animal, then hop on board a speedboat and cruise into the sunset, watching schools of dolphins swimming around you. This excursion takes about 2 hours.

The Maldives' 1,190 islands feature countless sandbanks and reef tops where you can enjoy unlimited land or sea activities – snorkel at isolated reefs, visit traditional Maldivian villages or relax in private on a deserted sandbank.
The 16.7-metre (55-foot) luxury sports cruiser, Landaa Summer, allows you to island-hop in comfort. Its easy sea access makes for effortless snorkelling or swimming from the back of the boat, while the air-conditioned salon with flat-screen television provides comfortable relaxation in the heat of the day. Set lunches are served on board.

A leisurely jog around the island at dawn or dusk is one of the best ways to view Kuda Huraa's amazing vistas, where the sea meets the sky. Jogging maps are available.

With tennis professional, Pierre Capdeville on-site, guests can now enjoy private lessons, tennis drills or a program tailored to your specific needs. Complimentary rackets and balls are available.
