Chic interior and an iconic exterior are a juxtaposition with the traditional architecture found on the ‘in vogue’ Chapel Wharf area of Manchester. The dramatic curved glassed fronted façade entices you into the world within. The interior is decorated in elegant muted tone, dark woods and sleek furnishings. Spend your time celebrity spotting (especially if your little ones are football fans!), enjoying a drink on the riverside terrace taking in the tranquil city location or enjoy the many theatres and shopping centres in and around Manchester at this luxury child friendly hotel.
There are 165 bedrooms (9 of which are interconnecting) including six Riverside Suitesand a Presidential Suite. The Charles Forte Presidential Suite is located on the top floor and has a grand piano, library and study area, kitchen, dining room and an optional extra bedroom. Bliss if you can afford it!
The Deluxe City View is the lowest room category - but it is 35 square metres so is pretty big. This room category will only take one child in a cot or bed. However, some of these rooms interconnect. The interconnecting rooms will sleep two adults, two children and a cot.
Superior Deluxe Riverview is the same size as the Deluxe City View but has the river views and guests booking a Riverside Room will also receive complimentary unlimited pay movies; 1 hour internet access and a complimentary newspaper. Again this room category will only take one child in either a cot or extra bed.
The hotel then has two suite categories – the Riverside Suite or the Presidential Suite. When you book a suite at the Lowry you automatically get thrown in for free full English breakfast, unpacking and packing service, pressing of garments for the evening of arrival, use of a NOKIA mobile phone for all local calls local calls from your suite, Internet access, in-house movies and in-room check-in. All such an extra bonus if you are away with the kids! All of these room categories can sleep two adults and two children and all have a separate lounge - so a separate sleeping area.
The Riverside Suite offers guests a relaxing lounge and dining area and is perfect for in-room dining and has an additional toilet. Perfect if you have put your child to sleep in the bedroom and you order dinner in and don’t want to disturb their sleep! However, still this room category is only any good if you only have one child with you! The hotel does not allow more than one child to share this room category.
Your only option if you have more than one child and you want to be in the same room rather than in interconnecting is the Charles Forte Suite. It is billed as the most luxurious and the most prestigious suite in Greater Manchester and the hotel might just be right! It has a spacious reception lounge offering the latest in-room entertainment systems and an elegant dining room with a baby grand piano. There is a 180 degree rotatable large screen television, IPod Docking Station / CD Player (on request), VCR and a DVD player. A spacious pantry with a separate entrance will allow a butler and private chef, which is included if required, to prepare your in-room dining and entertainment requirements. Wow! The master bedroom allows for a spacious, private space to relax and unwind and benefits from a vanity area and double-sized walk-in dressing room. Although this still only allows one child you can have this connecting with a Riverside room which also allows two adults and a child or three more children.
